Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0

There are 2 different icons to access bookmarks. The one that open the left panel is fine.
For the one with the top-down menu there is one specific issue when you want to stick it in the adress bar AND display the personnal bar. Then it disappears from the address bat as soon as you close the window than enables customization (the windows from where you drag and drop the desired icons on your different bars) and you got the bookmark icon that is displayed on the far right of the personal bar.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Drag and drop the drop-down bookmark icon in any location on the address bar
2. Display the personal bar

Actual Results:
The drop-down bookmark icon disappears from the adrress bar and the alternate bookmark icon (the one that open the left panel) is displayed on the far right of the personal bar

Expected Results:
The drop-down bookmark icon should stick in the defined location and the alternate icon should not appear in the personal bar if not specified.

Reproduce on windows seven as well. Running a new profile and/or safe mode still end up with the same issue.
Could you see if the issue occurs if using Firefox in safe mode:

How about with a new, empty testing profile? (Don't install any addons into it)
