I'm on IE until you get that fixed. I'm about to uninstall FIREFOX because of the threat to my computer. Thanks alot, you idiots. You've been BLACKLISTED by Norton File Insight. Nice Job. Reproducible: Always I don't think their's alot more to be said. Talk to Symantec about it.
Created attachment 521191 [details] Screenshot of the Norton AV report that caught the virus. Should be obvious on viewing.
When there are new releases several anti-virus vendors don't update their virus definitions immediately. cc'ing a couple of people that have contacts with 3rd parties to inform them about this false positive
I've never had a problem before and firefox wasn't working anymore. Every time I tried to go online with it, it crashed. The version before it was working fine so I need to get another copy of that.
Matt saw this in testing. It's norton's stupid tool that quarantines by default if x% of their population hasn't seen the file before. We always have trouble with this in the initial uptake. I believe we friend to have them whitelist anything signed by us...
Duplicate? Bug 567332 - Minefield files are quarantined as "WS.Reputation.1" by Norton Internet Security Bug 564389 - Norton Antivirus' "Insight Network" blacklisted plugin-container.exe
Not an installer specific file, nothing the installer can do about this, and it is a dupe of bug 567332 so duping
