Details
It would be nice if one could write Mozilla components in Python.
Or if one could use XPCOM from Python. Currently, there doesn't
seem to be any bug related to this, although there has been some
talk that `is should be done'

isn't this something ActiveState is working on? I think there's already a bug
on this. and one for perl too.

This has been fixed by the PyXPCOM module that was written by ActiveState.
The sourcecode for this is in the Mozilla cvs system and can be build if
needed. Therefore, this bug has been fixed.
