While the page is loading some amount of scroll is possible.
On chrome and firefox <4 scroll used to work.

scrolling using external mouse is possible only if the mouse is plugged in after firefox is opened. If the mouse is plugged in and then firefox is opened, then scroll wheel doen't work

uninstalled firefox completely and installing again.
Saving preferences or reinstalling would not help.

Actually, opening a pdf in a separate tab is still making the scroll stop.
Adobe reader 10 is being used and Adobe PDF plugin is used to view pdf in browser.
Still, scrolling seems to be unstable.
