User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; WOW64; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; WOW64; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 On this particular site the Windows media Player does not exist at all on the page, only the descriptive text. However it appears fine on Internet Explorer and in older versions of Firefox. I have installed the latest WMP plug-in for Firefox Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to www.littlesurvivalshop.com 2.Click on "video Page" 3.You can read text with no indication that a video exists Actual Results: Same result. No video or indication (place holder) that video exists Expected Results: Showed text with related video using WMP As I mentioned above, this worked on the previous Firefox version (3.6) and works on Internet Explorer. I downloaded the latest plug-in for WMP
wfm with Seamonkey trunk on win32
Could you see if the issue occurs if using Firefox in safe mode: http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode How about with a new, empty testing profile? (Don't install any addons into it) http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile

Hi, I seem to have the same issue as you guys. my embedded WMP worked fine on version 3.6.17 which FYI i have gone back to now. But when Firefox originally said there was an upgrade to Firefox 4.0, i had no reason not to upgrade to this. Upon then going to a web radio site that i have been using for ages and worked fine in 3.6, it did not work at all in 4.0 and neither did any other audio or video source via the embedded WMP. I did not want to go back to 3.6, but after installing the latest WMP plug-in and it still did not work i just reverted back. Can anybody tell me in plain English if there is a fix or whether this is still an on-going issue? Many thanks to all. Scott Smith
There is no fix because there is no confirmed bug. This bug is still unconfirmed, it would get marked NEW and after it get fixed "resolved fixed" The reporters testcase here works for me using win7 and the Plugin from microsoft ( - http://www.interoperabilitybridges.com/windows-media-player-firefox-plugin-download )
I see no confirmation on error but I do see a lot of "works for me" If there is still an issue, please provide update to the steps and plugins, www.littlesurvivalshop.com is not longer valid site.
