Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Firefox. 2. Open Preferences. 3. Open the General Tab. 4. Check the "Warn me when closing multiple tabs" box. 5. Open multiple tabs. 6. Close Firefox. Actual Results: Firefox closed without presenting any notification. Expected Results: A notification that I was about to close my multi-tabbed session was expected, as the checkbox purported to be for. A workaround is possible. In the event that a user inadvertently closes their multi-tabbed session yet had not truly intended to do so, they can go to the new "Restore Previous Session" function in the History tab to restore their session. Only a minor inconvenience is suffered in such circumstance. However, that does not negate the obligation for a checkbox to do the job it is purported to do.

This is expected behavior from bug 592822, if you want to restore your session you can make that decision at startup from the History, Restore Previous Session option or Restore Previous Session" function as you said.
