Steps: 1) Open Navigator in Netscape 6 2) Go to http://www.news.com 3) Print it 4) Open Navigator in Communicator 5) Go to http://www.news.com 6) Print it Actual Results: Images in Netscape 6 printed document are raw and do not have the same resolution as Communicator printed document Expected Results: Netscape 6 should have the same printing quality as Communicator. Build Date/Platform: 2001010310 on NT
Nominating for N6.5 and setting milestone to 0.9. This is a basic printing problem that occurs on all pages with images so very frequent.

Not my issue, the printer is printing at screen resolution. There is no API for printing to get a higher resolution image to print.

This also is a feature... issue with UPS and printing bar codes. UPS needs to have high resolution options to print there bar codes.
Who should be the appropriate owner for this issue. It's a problem printing any of the top 100 Web sites.

dcone, do you need an API from image lib to get a higher res image or does the printing side need the API? Sorry, I'm not familiar with this code and I'm just trying to figure out which one of use should own this.
There needs to be a way to load higher resolution images. Printing would also need a way to communicate it.

No.. this is an image library problem.. the resolution of the image printed.. fix for one platform is a fix for all.
