vAlthough I have unchecked "Small icons" in the customizing menu on the toolbar, I have a problem of size of the icons of said toolbar: they are too small and the problem is resolved only when I press Ctrl+D (see screencap).

Works for me on:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0

Can you reproduce the issue on a clean firefox profile (without any addons, themes installed)?

Well I'va uninstalled it totally and then reinstalled, and nothing happens to the size of the icons when I press Ctrl+D now (even with themes and addons installed). The icons are like this now: http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/397/capturech.jpg (sorry for the small size of the pic).

Please don't install addons and themes for now, can you see if it occurs in a brand new (empty) profile:

I've created a new, clean profile to test. Nothing happens when Ctrl+D, so I guess uninstalling and deleting totally my profile yesterday did change something. 

Regarding my first screencap (http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/1208/screencapp.jpg), what would be the normal size of the icons (when "Small icons" is unchecked), the one above or below (the one above being what I have now)?

When I cleaned totally Firefox out yesterday, I've carefully checked in turn when I installed the addons, to see which one would cause this "problem", but it didn't happen with the installation with any of them (no with any persona either).

I hope I'm clear, if I'm not please tell me. Sorry for the trouble, if any.

I've deleted my profile again, then reinstalled addons but I did not put the ADP icon in the toolbar so now I don't have this problem anymore. Thanks for your help, especially when redirecting to bug 640158.
