I am not altering my bookmarks toolbar at all but I have the sync extension.
About once a day, instead of having the folders ordered A B C D E F G...M N O, they will be scrambled N A B L D H Q...


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create multiple folders in the bookmark bar where it is synced across several computers in a specific order.
2.Sync them.
3. Wait a day and the folders will be randomly rearranged.

Even if I fix them and sync, they will snap back to random shortly thereafter.

Actual Results:  
Random order

Expected Results:  
Leave them alone if I don't change them.

This is happening now as I try to do organize bookmarks.  I will drag and drop them to the right order only to have them scrambled while I am trying to move them.

I think Firefox 4 could have a fix for your issue, unfortunately while the Sync fix is in Firefox 3.6, it won't deal with old errors.

It wasn't actually sync and I didn't see this bug get posted since it crashed.

I entered a new bug which is probably a duplicate of what you pointed me to

bug 645740

It may be the same problem.
