BUg 646254 seems to have added what I consider to be completely bogus dependency on yasm 1.1.  This all builds and passes tests with the yasm 1.0.1 version currently provided with fedora14.  I have no idea what is causing anyone elses issues with yasm 1.0.1, but it should not prevent me from building with my distro's default build tools.

workaround for the issue which changes the error to a warning, so that for the cases where there is an issue, a warning is given to point to a solution, but in the cases where there was no issue to start with it does not screw things up.
