Kevin, can you check if this is a regression and where it was introduced? Also, if you can repo can you give insight about if it is a bad regression?

This broke some time ago rough regression range is between beta 3 and beta 4 of Firefox 4 mobile. It is secondary UI and <video> on mobile still faces some performance bottlenecks. It is something that should be resolved but given how long this has been in product I would fix it on the trunk and let the fix go through the channels process, with the possibility that a trivial fix could be uplifted to Aurora.
This issue still occurs on: Build id : Mozilla/5.0 (Android;Linux armv7l;rv:8.0a1)Gecko/20110713 Firefox/8.0a1 Fennec/8.0a1 Device: Motorola Droid 2 OS: Android 2.2
