This is only visible when browsing a ftp dir with the pref 'network.dir.format' set to 3 (Preferences --> Debug: Networking, set "Directory Listing Format" to "XUL".

1) Set your prefs according to comment #0
2) Browse to ftp.mozilla.org --> :(
3) Apply the patch and re-build
4) Browse to ftp.mozilla.org --> :)

(I haven't seen the loading icon appear so I don't know how it looks, but there is no doubt the new one is better)
