User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 I added a bookmark short name "j" for "javascript:%s". When I'm trying to start firefox with the following prompt: start /max C:\PROGRA~2\MOZILL~1.0be\FIREFOX.EXE "j alert('Goodbye world!');" it returns an error: Firefox не может найти файл (Russian: cannot find the file) /C:/Users/silvery/j alert('Goodbye world!');. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Make a bookmark of a page. 2. Give it a short name. 3. Start Firefox from command prompt with start /max path_to_firefox\FIREFOX.EXE "defined_short_name" Actual Results: Firefox returns an error: Firefox не может найти файл (Russian: cannot find the file) /C:/Users/silvery/j alert('Goodbye world!');. Expected Results: The bookmark should be opened. In my case it must be an javascript:alert window, which informs user that his profile has been copied. Firefox 4.0 Windows 7 x64

we don't plan to implement shortcuts (keywords) from the command line, it would involve complex code that we surely don't want to run at startup for performance reasons, moreover it's a rarely used feature that benefits just a few users, and its scope has never been to provide shortcuts, rather search keywords ("Add a keyword for this search" feature). So, sorry but I don't think we are going to do this.
