With bug 633653 and other bugs happening, about:memory is rising in prominence. It needs to be localized. I'm not sure whether the paths like "heap-used/storage/sqlite/pagecache" should be localized, though.
My localizer half thinks that this is a very bad idea, since this type of information is not really useful to ordinary people, and making it localized effectively makes us unable to get useful debugging information from people using localized builds. I've CCed Pike to comment here.
I'm torn here. Localizing the segments sounds like bad, but the tooltips would probably need to, which sucks as they're spread all over the platform. I would want to wait at least until the UI stabilizes until we make a call.
To further complicate things, new memory reporters will gradually be added in the short to medium term, see bug 563700.

Yeah, this isn't going to happen. about:memory is primarily a tool for Firefox developers, not users.
