User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:6.0a1) Gecko/20110424 Firefox/6.0a1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:6.0a1) Gecko/20110424 Firefox/6.0a1 When I want to download files in FreakShare, I open a new tab for the download page and then switch to another tab for normal browsing, expecting to get my download in 1min time. However the timer often stops if the FreakShare page is in an inactive tab. This issue is reproducible in a new profile in Nightly. It does not happen in Fx4, Chrome stable, and IE9. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to the any download page of FreakShare (You may use this link: http://freakshare.com/files/g5msm8k8/xul.dll.html, the sample file is an unaltered Nightly's xul.dll uploaded by me so it's completely legit and safe) 2. There is a countdown timer on the Free column, counting from 59.9sec 3. Switch to another tab in Nightly for few seconds, then switch back to Freakshare's tab Actual Results: The countdown stops if you switch to another tab, but resumes after switching back. Sometimes the timer still counts, but at a much slower rate than normal, something like 5sec:1sec. The download button is greyed out for several minutes until the countdown finishes. Expected Results: Countdown should finish in 1 minute, even in the inactive tab, and let me click the download button.
