Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.61 [en] (OS/2; U) (Yes I filed this with Netscape: Mozilla is unusable). BuildID: 2000121220 (from zipfile marked as Moz...M13.zip (not latest M18.zip) Runs very slowly, constant hard drive churning on IBM Thinkpad 600. DOES NOT EXHIBIT THIS ON generic desktop machine with SAME BUILD! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Use Thinkpad 600, OS/2 w Fixpack 13, 2. Retrieve micro-wave popcorn from bottom drawer of desk. 3. Launch Warpzilla (version from M13.zip). 4. Walk to lunchroom, microwave popcorn for 3min20secs, return to desk. 5. Wait for Warpzilla to continue loading...admire neat picture of fire breathing dragon etc... 6. Eat popcorn... 7. Wait for ....etc. 8. When up, attempt to browse.... 9. Wait...hard drive churns..... 10. Finish popcorn, go and wash hands....etc. Expected Results: Come up in a few seconds, like it does on the desktop machine beside the Thinkpad. Screen painting does not seem to be slow. Yes HPFS drives with CACHE386 running... Recently defragged (even though HPFS).
Reporter, first guess would be amount of memory, or the size of the system swapfile. Can you provide details on these for both your laptop and desktop systems? What about other things like CPU speed?
Marking invalid due to the lack of response. Reporter, please reopen this bug if you still see this with a current build, and provide the details requested above. Thanks!
