(Whiteboard: [needs UX])

There are a couple recommendations in the privacy review for share that could affect UX. Someone should review the recommendations and comment or work them into the UX.

This seems like our current solution is clear and there is no way for a site to automate the sharing of a URL.

Currently our screenshots are not of a resolution that I believe would be possible to extract typed input data from. Nevertheless we will be incorporating a way for people to not include the screenshot with the share. i.e. [x] include image/screenshot

In Private browsing mode we are aiming to at least match bookmarks for level of saved data. Auto-bookmarking of shares should be turned off during private browsing or made into an obvious option if we feel it's important. We don't currently support adding (private) accounts during PBM and could investigate doing that or at least alerting users that accounts added will remain even after.

There's no way for a site to automate it, but I want us to be absolutely sure that there's no sharing triggered at all without user approval (that includes the code we write automatically sharing things).

Bryan, do you have a link to a bug or wiki page that shows the UX interaction sequence (or screenshots) for sharing?

Makes sense.

Is it? If not, can we file a bug to make sure it is turned off in private browsing mode?

If we don't currently support it and don't plan to add it, this is a non-issue. If there are plans to support adding accounts during PBM, we should discuss it. Which is the case?

There are some other things in that wiki page that might be worth considering for the UX:

"Make it clear when enabling the feature that you will be authorizing Mozilla to access accounts on your behalf."

Is this delegation of access clear in the UX?

Sid, I'm closing this since it was a bug against the old f1 privacy review, and we've dealt with the issues it brought up. If you have any questions on it let me know.
