Instead, DHCP should be handing out dc-specific DNS scopes, and runslave should be using an unqualified name to search those scopes and find the appropriate DNS server.

If it wasn't clear, this is a *very* long-term problem, and one we have, as yet, made no progress on.

This will need to get fixed up in scl3 or the like. Or it can be closed as WORKSFORME - up to releng.
