If I force opengl hardware acceleration smooth scrolling becomes much, much less smooth. Smooth scrolling is basically not usable when hardware acceleration is enabled. I am running ubuntu 11.04. Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:7.0a1) Gecko/20110619 Firefox/7.0a1 According to https://wiki.mozilla.org/Blocklisting/Blocked_Graphics_Drivers#OpenGL_on_X11_in_Firefox_6_and_newer , you should not have any problems with you drivers. Setting status to New.

Ever confirmed: true
Yeah, according to that page the driver should be whitelisted by default? Strange. In firefox 6 I get nothing in about:support under the graphics section until I force layers on. As soon as I force layers on I get accelerated windows 1/1 ect... and I can definitely tell its enabled because of the issues I run into (smooth scrolling is very laggy as I described.) I am running arch linux now so I have very up to date mesa/intel drivers as well, and have the same issue. I seem to have the same issue with the firefox 7 builds as well.
