This is very strange to me. Everyday I look at nascar.com for current news.Today I downloaded and install the new 0.7 Mozilla build. It seems great with the bookmarks and cookies and all coming from the 4.76 Netscape I usually use. This is the first time a Mozilla build has been installed on this computer. I have used it, earlier builds, on one of my other Macs. Anyway I was visiting my regular sites and it was doing fine. I went to nascar and pulled a page that was from the Chrismas holidays using the referenced URL. I remembered reading the page and I figured it was an error. I fired up 4.76 and went to the Nascar page. It was a current page with up to date news items. I went back to Mozilla and tried it again, once again it retreived the month old page. Recently Nascar moved their website from ESPN/ Starwave servers to Turner Sports Interactive. Would Mozilla 0.7 be using some different means to look at an address and be contacting the old server. It seems not a good answer to me. The Nascar site uses something I cannot name. The news items are tabbed with each series requiring the tab to be clicked in order to read it.Earlier builds of Mozilla were unable to read this correctly, displaying the articles individually down the page. Netscape 4.76 handles this properly. Would it be possible that the new 0.7 release cannot interpret the page and is pulling an old page from the Netscape cache? I hope this helps. IN addition the color of the print in the URL window and in any other window that can be typed into is so light as to be barely readable.
I do not know why it is different in 0.7. 2001011608 does not show the behavior. However, clicking the URL results in two loadings of the pages, of which the second one gets actually displayed, and is the current page at www.nascar.com/index3.html. At this point, if you select View source, owing to the bug that loads the source afresh, the source is actually the one loaded first, and its content is indeed of December!
Certainly WORKSFORME. Reporter, you might try downloading the latest nightly (a.k.a. binary) off the mozilla.org frontpage. Also, the server could have been reverted and/or messed up at the time you were trying to visit. For now, marking WORKSFORME. Please reopen if you still see this in a nightly build.
