I have absolutely no objection to people blogging about whatever they wish, ranging from mountain hiking to debating about the true nature of their own personal god. My concern is: being mostly interested by Mozilla activity and community, hence having registered at mozilla planet feed, I cannot see the point in having all personal stuff and obsessions of every mozillian aggregated along with more specific Mozilla-related content.
Perhaps it could be good for each aggregated blog to have a specific "mozilla" feed which would be triggered only for mozilla-centric posts by means of a tag (I am no technical person and just *suppose* it could be done) while the other more personal or allsort posts could be published without being mirrored in Mozilla Planet.
Please note that I by no means suggest any form of censorship to which I am a strong opponent. A simple separation of contents would be enough to keep Mozilla Planet the source of information from which I like to learn ever more (at least when it comes to my understanding), and Mozillian bloggers who are mostly a lively, smart and fascinating community.

Planet is not a Mozilla news service. It is the voices of the people who make up the Mozilla community.

Ok then rename it "Voices of the people" and forget Mozilla.
If I wish to hear voices of the people who make up Mozilla community, I can already access and enjoy their own personal blog or websites.
If Mozilla Planet is not focusing on one common shared interest (that is Mozilla stuff at large, and not news only) then instead of building a sense of community it just generates potential dissension (eg. believer/atheist not to mention unnumerable political controversies). I doubt it is something people would like.
