Will be a stock playdoh (Django/Python) webapp.

Needs to talk to the existing buildbot MySQL database, so ccing zandr for advice.
Should add timeline: shipping this is a q2 goal for webtools.
This may have to start out as VMs in San Jose - very tight on power in that location. Any issues there?
VMs are totally fine, this should be low load and low volume.
Should be SJ anyway, as that's where the DB is.
Phong, can you assign to someone on your side to build these VMs?
The documentation lacks CPU, RAM, storage requirements, vlan. How many VMs do you need?

CPU/RAM: whatever is standard for webheads these days. No special requirements.

Storage: should use the buildbot MySQL database (existing)

vlan: wherever it needs to be to access that database

Is that enough detail?
Any further questions? Can I get these boxes by this time next week please?
I believe there are still questions left unanswered, and your answers in comment 7 are pretty vague (webheads are typically on baremetal, but the VMs are being installed because your timeline is too tight for us to do this with baremetal).

In addition, we need to know how many. "boxes" is plural in the subject here.

thanks
Ok, thanks Corey.

I'd assume the usual dev-stage-prod setup, at least one box for each, so 3 VMs.

The app is playdoh-based. I don't know exactly what the minimum requirements are for that, but perhaps we could set up similarly to the bm-l10n-dashboard01 VM since I know that has adequate resources for running playdoh. Does that work for you?
All stop, please. After a conversation with RelEng, the code will instead be integrated with
https://build.mozilla.org/buildapi/

Hence, we no longer need to provision anything.
