Device: HTC Desire Z (Android 2.2)

Note: This issue requires a device with hardware keyboard.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install Fennec 5.0b2 from: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/candidates/5.0b2-candidates/build1/android-r7/multi/ or if you have it already installed clean your profile from Applications -> Manage Application -> Firefox Beta -> Clear data 
2. Open the hardware keyboard.
3. Go to www.google.com
4. Slide page to the left to reveal the control bar
5. Tap on the white star to create a bookmark and then click on "Edit". 
6. In the bookmarks context menu, try to delete the name of the bookmark using "DEL" key.

Actual results:
"DEL" key does not delete the name of the bookmark. See video: http://www.youtube.com/user/qaioana#p/u/0/amYAiNFI-84

Expected results:
"DEL" key should delete the name of the bookmark.

Note: I can reproduce this 100%, but only on a clean profile.

They work fine. I mean:

If I tap on the field where the URL is I can delete the URL.

Also if I tap on the field where the URL is and then I tap back on the name field I can delete the name of the bookmark.

But, if I tap first on the name field and try to delete the name of the bookmarked page it does not work (the behavior is the one seen in the video).

Thanks. I was able to reproduce this on my Motorola Milestone.

I first attempted to edit the default bookmark name on about:firstrun and that worked. I then tried Google like you have and that did not work.

I've noticed that if after step 6 I type any character, it will be inserted at the beginning of the input field. It seems that even if the cursor is visible at the end of the website name, actually its position is at the beginning of the field.

Does this reproduce on 8.0 beta?  8.0 changes del key handling for honeycomb's bug fix.

Issue is not reproducing. Bookmark name can be deleted using "DEL" key from the hardware keyboard.
