Every day the updater reminds me there is an update, and when I click install, it spends an infinite amount of time "connecting to firefox." It never does. I have been unable to update. What do I do?

Kelsey, could you please perform the following steps while Firefox is trying to contact the update server:
Open the Applications folder using Finder
control click on Firefox. Select Show Package Contents from the menu
Open the Contents folder
Open the MacOS folder
Copy the active-update.xml and updates.xml files to the Desktop
Then attach (using the 'Add an attachment' link above) the two files to the bug, one at a time.
Thanks!
[bug 658517 is similar, also on Mac 10.5]

Nick, just so you know... I suspect this is caused by either a Mac OS X permissions issue that affects app update or a Mac OS X IP v6 issue that prevents downloading. I suspect IP v6 slightly more since a couple of the reports have also stated there were unable to download the dmg as well.

Ah, ok. I'll try to figure out how many mirrors we have that support IPv6.

Roughly a quarter by both count and weighting, including some highly weighted ones like mozilla.c3sl.ufpr.br, daimajin.mirror.aarnet.edu.au, ftp.jaist.ac.jp.
Setting resolution to resolved Incomplete. Reporter, fell free to reopen this bug if the issue is still reproducible.
