Build Identifier: Firefox 4.0 / Adobe Flash Player 10.3
I'm using FF 4.0 with Flash 10.3. Firefox is setup to use an automatic proxy (.pac) which works requests you to login at FF startup. However, when trying to view videos on 60mins.com, hulu.com, etc. nothing appears. It was only after I entered automatic proxy information in IE that a proxy login box now appears in Firefox. But flsh requests 4 logins for the video to come up.
Is this common? How do I extend my initial Firefox login to flash videos and not have it rely on IE proxy settings?
Reproducible: Always

Presumably Adobe Flash (regardless of ActiveX or NPAPI) is relying on System (=MSIE) Proxy Settings, no?
Whiteboard: INVALID?
I'm not completely sure with that. Even if that was the case, when I enter the proxy settings in Internet options (IE) and I run the flash video, I get 4 proxy request logins. And you have to complete each request, otherwise it will not play.
Is there a way to force FF to use the proxy settings in FF and use the same credentials that were used when someone first logs in?

Version: unspecified → 4.0 Branch
I've been testing this in my virtual pc and have not been successful. I've installed Firefox 4.0 and 4.0.1 with FlashPlayer 10.2 and 10.3 (not at the same times of course) and nothing. I keep getting the initial proxy login, but when I go to hulu.com, I see the commercial play but the video never comes up. I've changed settings in flashplayer and still nothing. Again, the only response I get is when I enter the proxy info in IE Internet Options, but I still get 4 proxy login requests. Help is much needed. Thanks.

We're in the process of removing support for plugins (bug 1677160), so I think this bug is irrelevant now.
