WinNT, sp5, checked with both mozilla 0.6 and 0.7.
When browsing www.smh.com.au with multiple windows, Mozilla locks up after a
period of time , normally less than 5 minutes. Confirmed over several days, but
not easily reproducible. I just start reading, open a few browser windows, and
after a couple of minutes it locks solid. Doesn't seem to happen with my setup
on other web pages.
I know this isn't much to go on, sorry.

unable to reproduce with 011904 win32 build on NT (also tested mac and linux).
james, does it happen on a particular set of pages or after a reproduceable
progression of page loads. does it happen if you don't open any new windows and
just follow links.
I also could not reproduce today. Will attempt to reproduce it next time it
happens and report back.
OK. I cannot reproduce it 'on demand' with a specific set of mouse clicks, but I
can make it happen within a few minutes fairly reliably.
I go to www.smh.com.au. Using right mouse button, open up a bunch of pages 'open
link in new window' so they can download while I read them.
Read various pages, scrolling up and down with themb and scroll buttons. Close
each page as I finish with it.
Within a couple of minutes it locks solid.
Sorry I can't be more specific, this must be a pig to pin down.
Cheers,
James

ok, try creating a new profile (mozilla -profilemanager). try with this new
profile and see if you can get this to happen. there are a lot of cases of wierd
issues in 0.6-> 0.7 upgrades
Created new profile, and just now locked solid.
Cheers, James
If it's any help, this ONLY happens at www.smh.com.au/*
I just spent an hour or so surfing with no problems. But within 2 minutes of
going to www.smh.com.au, locked solid.

Unable to reproduce after several minutes of browsing on that site in multiple
windows. I am using 2001012404 on windows 98.
For others wishing to QA this problem I can recommend starting your exploration
of said site at http://www.smh.com.au/news/0101/24/html/snapshot1.html

Marking NEW. I think someone with more knowledge (aka the gods of Mozilla) need
to take a look and see if they can figure this one out.

Could this be some alert dialog is hidden by the front window, resembling a lock
up ? Like bug 62649?

I have tried reproducing this bug on another NT machine with no success, though
I can repreduce it as desired on my first machine. Perhaps it's one of those
Windows nightmare config situations?
Suggest close bug, I'll retest with the next milestone release.
