Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.0; rv:5.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/5.0

Discovered am 27th May 2011.

Firefox 5 had been performing OK for a few days.
Logged in to BT Yahoo Mail - saw e-mail contents fine - as usual, and as per the previous days on FF 5.
On trying to forward a message all the e-mail content disappeared.
Checking on other messages titles only visible, no content - not on 'preview pane' or on full message.
Logged on via Explorer - no problem.
Logged on via FF 5 on another e-mail account and exactly the same problem.
Something happened to FF 5 on Friday morning.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Tried another browser - Fine
2.Tried another e-mail account on the same url on FF 5- same problem
3.

Actual Results:
Explorer OK
Firefox 5 not OK

This problem occured 'in front of my eyes' - one minute I could see the e-mail message content, then it was gone - and it has now stayed gone.
New messages have arrived and I can see the headers, but not the message content.
Yahoo Mail would appear to be OK as it works fine on Explorer and via my Mobile on Opera.
EDIT:

This may possibly be a compatibility problem with Yahoo Mail.
Just checking Yahoo mail it looks like they are rolling out a mew platform.
It's possible that they have made some changes in advance of the migration which have affected FF 5s compatibility with Yahoo Mail.
UPDATE:

Just seen this on the Yahoo Mail website regarding IPv6 - Could this be something to do with it?

Top IPv6 Questions

Your system will continue to work for you on World IPv6 day. However, we found that your server only supports IPv4 at this time. You'll simply continue to use IPv4 to reach your favorite web sites.

ADDITIONAL:

On composing a message, you can select recipients, and give it a subject, but are unable to view or input into the message text field - auto-signature does not appear either the pane is blank.
ADDITIONAL:

Works fine in 'Safe Mode'.
Were there some Add-On updates around 26th/27th that could be causing this?

Looks like the Add On 'Better Privacy 1.51 was updated on 27th May and could be causing the problem, going to restart normally and disable it, will report back.
Hmmmm!

Thought that was it - disabled Better Privacy 1.51 and restarted Firefox 5 and logged out of Yahoo Mail and back in again and the problem is still there.

Any suggestions?
My other machine is running Better Privacy 1.50 and is not experiencing the same problem.

The weird thing is, I've removed Better Privacy completely from the 'problem' machine and the problem with Yahoo Mail still exists - crazy!

Do you use the new Yahoo Mail Interface?
Version: unspecified → 5 Branch
Yahoo Maill works fine in Safe Mode on FF 5.

No I'm not using the 'new' Yahoo Mail interface, but not the 'Classic' interface either - it's the 'old' new Yahoo Mail, if that makes sense.
To try and make it clearer.
There is a 'New' interface for BT Yahoo Mail - 'BT Yahoo Mail Beta'.
I'm using what was used to be called the 'New BT Yahoo Mail' - the update from 'Classic'.
Also, I cannot switch to 'Classic'to see if that makes a difference - I get an error message:

Error #14:

If it works in Safemode can you check if an Extension is the Cause by disabling them one-by-one?
I ran a comparission of the Add-Ons on the OK machine and the Add-Ons on the problem machine, and got some surpises - all were the same apart from these:

Good Machine: Java Console 6.0.25 - Bad Machine: Java Console 6.0.24

Good Machine: TACO with Abine 3.65 - Bad Machine: TACO with Abine 3.70

Good Machine: Greasemonkey 0.9.2 - Bad Machine: Greasemonkey 0.9.3

So, in some cases the 'bad' machine had a later version of an Add-on than the good one.

I figured that the Java Console was the most likely problem, but when updating to 6.0.25 there is no way to delete 6.0.24 - and that may still be causing the problem.
Blimey!

What a way to spend a Bank Holiday?

Sorted! It was a change in Yahoo Mail that affected Adblock Plus 1.3.8.

After much disabling Add Ons and restarting, it was isolated to Adblock Plus 1.3.8. I removed the Advert blocks I had for Yahoo Mail, and mail was fine,I was then able to 're-block' the ads and all is fine.

So it was just a co-incidence the Better Privacy update, the different versions between the 2 computers and Firefox 5.
