(Whiteboard: [platform-rel-Google] [platform-rel-Gmail])

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:5.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/5.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:5.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/5.0

At gmail.com cmd + click always opens links in a mail on foreground. It happens only in firefox.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
Cmd + clicking on links inside a mail is opening it on foreground.

Expected Results:
Cmd + clicking should open links on background always.
Go to Options>tabs, and see if "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately" is checked or not
Its unchecked and this is happening only on gmail.
Reproducible for me on Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:7.0a1) Gecko/20110606 Firefox/7.0a1

The options "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately" is unchecked.

This is still happens on firefox 8. And firefox is the only browser with this behavior. Opera and chrome works as expected.

This is still happening for me. I'm in the process of seeing if I'll move back to FF after many years away and this behavior is inconsistent with every other browser I use. Is it possible for someone to investigate?
