Currently in the Gingerbread (and probably Core) theme, if you tap and hold on any of the top navigation buttons (reload/Favicon), they both show the button-bg background [1][2]. When you tap and hold on the URL bar, there is no background image, the only thing that happens is the bottom border and top border flip, which looks a little weird. See screenshot attached, where the bottom is the default state, and the top image is the URL bar active on tap and hold. To look consistent across the top level, the URL bar should adopt the same or improve the style. Morphing bug as suggested by Mark to suggest that edit boxes adapt a similar border highlighting style as seen in other native applications on Android in 2.3
Summary: URL bar should have the same button background-image as neighbouring buttons or improve on existing style → Improve on border outline for edit boxes in the Gingerbread theme

Mark, is this still a valid bug for a new contributor to be working on? In other words, does this still apply to the Native UI, so that the work done won't be wasted?
