With the new development model we may want to remove something on trunk but land a warning on aurora after the source migration (this situation has already come up).
It'd be nice to have a generic deprecation warning (perhaps with a non-localized string we can pass), reusable without l10n impact. That way if we find we need to add the warning on mozilla-aurora we can do so without needing more l10n or sticking to english-only warnings.
It should probably take two strings even. What function is deprecated, and what function to use instead.
