There are add-ons which do not find new versions when you click "Check for updates" but problem only in latest nightly
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download previous version of some addon
2. Try to find update for it
Actual Results:
No updates found
Expected Results:
Found a new version of addon
Not all addons cannot found the updates, i do not know what is the reason of this. But I use the x64 version, maybe problem in this.

Please always provide an example.
open about:support and copy/paste one extension information in this bug report.
And you are sure that there is a new version of this addon available on addons.mozilla.org ?
Component: Extension Compatibility → Add-ons Manager
Product: Firefox → Toolkit
QA Contact: extension.compatibility → add-ons.manager
Version: unspecified → Trunk
Ok, for example this addon https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/file/120957/downthemall-2.0.5-sm+fx.xpi?src=version-history - link to 2.0.5 version, latest version is 2.0.6, and after restart try to find update for it, and will not be found Updates. By the way with latest nighlty update disappear all from about:support http://i3.imageban.ru/out/2011/06/10/e191531d8c56a42c272c47fc1a7a96bb.png

The latest version of DownThemAll isn't compatible with nightlies so we won't offer it as an update (even if you've disabled compatibility checks for add-on installation). Is there any example where the add-on is compatible with nightlies?
None. But for the testers to be the solution. How do they find out about the existence of the new version?

For dedicated testers, they could browse every day to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/extensions/?sort=updated&unreviewed=on&page=1 (or mutatis mutandis for other apps and/or localized browsing) and check if the first few items are extensions that they use.
