1. Select an app tab
2. Click the Home button or press Alt+Home (Opt+Fn+Left)
Result: Home tab is created but not selected
Expected: Home tab should be created and selected
In contrast, if I load a bookmark while an app tab is selected, the new tab is correctly selected.

I suspect you flipped browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInBackground.

Yes, I did. But I don't expect it to affect left-clicks (when I'm in an app tab). And it doesn't make sense for it to affect Home but not bookmarks.
