build 20010123 trunk windows Steps : 1 Launch composer 2 Click on 'Table' button in 'Composition Toolbar' 3 Press OK in the 'Insert Table' window 4 Now right click in any table cell and select "Table or cell background color' 5 Try to select any color from the palette 6 Press OK 7 Observe that your selected color background setting does not take effect
same problem on linux trunk, however,works fine on mac trunk.

The color doesn't appear because the selection highlighting hides it. The solution is to use a different technique to show selection, such as highlighting just the border (bug 26831). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 26831 ***
