User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1 The "Quit Firefox" dialog box is not presented when closing Firefox with multiple tabs open even though "Warn me when closing multiple tabs" is checked. This only happens if "Show my windows and tabs from last time" is selected under "When Firefox starts:". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open multiple tabs (loading webpages not necessary) 2. Open "Options" -> "Options" 3. Under "General" tab -> "Startup", select "Show my windows and tabs from last time" 4. Under "Tabs" tab, check "Warn me when closing multiple tabs" 5. Click "OK" 6. Exit Firefox Actual Results: Firefox closes without "Quit Firefox" dialog box. Expected Results: "Quit Firefox" dialog box appears.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:7.0a1) Gecko/20110621 Firefox/7.0a1 That is the expected behavior. When you have "Show my windows and tabs from last time" option set, then no dialog window appears warning that you are about to close multiple tabs. This can be explained by the fact that next time when you start Firefox your previous session will be displayed - information will not be lost. You may ask then that what's the purpose pf "Warn me when closing multiple tabs" if it doesn't actually warn me? This option works when you have multiple windows opened. Follow these steps and you'll better understand what I am trying to say: 1. Open Firefox 2. Open another window 3. Open several tabs in the last created window 4. Close window Hope I managed to get myself understood. Setting status to Resolved Invalid.
