Change the current screenshot on http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/new/ to a version that does not mention the amount of downloads.
As discussed lets replace with the three original screenshots we had within the original Fx4 character screenshots. Those were: google image search cupcakes, Wikipedia, and facebook. Please rotate through the three versions randomly upon page load
Steven - Do you have these assets? If not, I can help dig up with Tara.
Thanks!

Is it these three variations show in the attached screenshots that you mean?
These screenshots show the original images dropped back in directly to the page with the newer content on the left. Obviously they left column would need some adjustment.
Is this the right set of images? Should we just do our best to make the current left column content ("Made to make the Web a better place..." etc.) work in that space, or should we expect further copy/design directly?
Also, is the hidden top menu bar universal on the /firefox/new/ page, or is it just one facet of an A/B test? If it's universal, I might take advantage of the extra space to pull the large image up higher on the page.
Also, did these big-ass creatures get replaced because they lost out in A/B tests, or do I have that mixed up with something else?

All good questions, here's some more guidance:
-Keep the character trio and sizing we currently use on /new
-Just change out the web page shown in the browser, resizing them to fit the current image (thereby replacing the download counter)
-Hidden top menu will also stay the same as current /new page
Web Pages to Show within Browser (rotate through all 3):
-Facebook page as shown in your attachment
-Wikipedia page, but on Treasure Island entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treasure_island)
-Instead of recipes.com show a Google image search for cupcakes (http://www.google.com/search?q=cupcakes&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=IjI&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&prmd=ivnscel&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=4VL6TZP6LanjiALf5oShAQ&ved=0CDYQsAQ&biw=1427&bih=655)

Thanks for clarifying. This turned out to be nine screenshots (3 sites ✕ 3 platforms).
Done in trunk in r90759. Merged to stage in r90760.
Please note that there are three screenshots (facebook, wikipedia, and google image search) that are shown randomly with javascript on page load. The screenshots also vary by platform - Windows, Mac, or Linux screenshots are shown depending on your platform.

Steven,
Can you attach the static graphic that is being used in this new version, so I can update all the A/B tests running too?
Thank YOU!

Hey guys, sorry i didn't see this earlier... but when we talked about these screenshots, we had discussed the previous ones that were used... and for Facebook, that was Curly's profile page. The one we're showing now feels odd since it's a FF logo at nearly the exact same size as the one on the download button, and it's just not a very good screenshot. Can't we use what we had done for the upgrade campaign? http://www.flickr.com/photos/29142435@N08/5637232640/in/set-72157626548526818/

That's fine with me, but we should file a new bug and get it into a later release.
