User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1 See https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38178 (screenshot provided) The page is not displayed correctly by Firefox 4.01 on my Windows7 system. I thought it was a problem in the html of the page and reported it at LibreOffice. However it turns out that Firefox 4.01 under Windows 2000 or Windows XP displays the page correctly. I would expect the same version of browser to display a page the same, regardless the html is correct or not. So I think you should have a look at this. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open http://help.libreoffice.org/Main_Page in FF4.01 on Windows7 system Actual Results: The caption "LibreOffice Help" on the top is somewhat shifted to the left and most of the first letter L is obscured. Expected Results: The caption "LibreOffice Help" should be aligned with "Page" below it and be fully visible. My system is AMD Phenom II X4 910e with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit (Dutch). Internet Explorer 9.0 on this system displays the page correctly, as does FF4.01 on a Windows XP system.
Works for me - Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1

Works for me on Firefox Nightly 7 on Windows 7: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:7.0a1) Gecko/20110613 Firefox/7.0a1 Reporter, could you try to see if the issue still occurs on another, more recent Firefox build? Maybe it was fixed since the 4.0.1. Release. Please see this link. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/channel/ Thanks
Firefox 5.0 did not fix it. But with some googling I arrived on http://social.expression.microsoft.com/Forums/en/web/thread/a1cc0016-5174-4364-b2f5-2d39a8b1c57f which gives a suggestion that I tried. In the options, I changed the "default font" which was Times New Roman at font size 18 to a smaller size. Size 16 matches best what I see in IE 9.0 and in FF on other systems. Possibly most users have it at this value and I had changed it some time. So I consider this solved for me personally. But it would remain an issue for other users who have their default font size set to a different value. The question is why the layout of http://help.libreoffice.org/Main_Page depends on this setting, as it does not appear to use the default font, Times New Roman, at all.

It's still unclear for me what is the issue referring to, but I understand it's not a major thing. Setting this as resolved worksforme.
