User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20110608 Firefox/4.0.1 SeaMonkey/2.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20110608 Firefox/4.0.1 SeaMonkey/2.1 I using SeaMonkey to access and manage messages using IMAP folders on Gmail [Google mail]. My preferences are set to automatically save the message every 5 minutes when composing an email message. When I send the message, all drafts of that message show up a new messages in my trash folder. My server settings say to check for messages every 10 minutes. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click on the new message icon on the toolbar or right click [context menu] to reply to a message. 2. Add recipients and subject if necessary and compose message. 3. Click send now button on compose window. Actual Results: Any automatically saved drafts show up in trash as unread messages. Expected Results: Only manually saved messages should show up in the trash folder after deleting saved drafts. They should never show up as new messages. The only time new messages should show up in the Trash folder is if I have new trash from using the web mail version of Gmail and SeaMonkey does a full synchronization of my IMAP folders. Draft messages eventually disappear from the trash folder even if I don't empty the trash. Further, Google indicates that messages that have been in Trash more than 30 days will be automatically deleted. This is strange and an annoyance. I have marked it as minor, but it should be combined and bumped to normal if it is connected to any other similar problems.
