Hi Tara, We are in the process of moving our Facebook Test Driver Group to a Facebook Future of Firefox page and wanted to have a landing tab. William suggested we can use the same design from bug: 654219 but have a different copy. adding matej in the bug as well to refine the tagline in the landing tab, but copy should be around: Experience the newest innovations and help us determine what makes the future of Firefox. (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/channel/) Since we have the design already, do you think it would be possible to have this by mid next week so we can implement it and have it ready for the next merge (july 5th). thanks!
Since we already have the design , you don't need a design bug :) You'd need a copy bug for Matej, and then work with William to get it implemented on your page (same code, different copy)

Summary: [Rapid Release] Facebook Landing Tab Design → [Rapid Release] FB "Future of Firefox" page Landing Tab: Copy
Blocks: 662999
Side note: I think in the interest of time (and the fact that our resources are slammed) we can go live with the same illo as our official mainstream page, but since this is intended for a different audience, and has different design aesthetic associated with it... I think a custom tab that fits that and echoes the "future of firefox" theme would be best. But, lets look into that for the next time.

Can someone send me the current tab so I can see what I'm working to? Thanks!
william? grace?

Sorry guys, didn't know we were using *that* tab. I should have checked the other bug. Is this copy meant to replace "Love Firefox? Like Us!"? And should it be that short?
I'd keep it pretty short since space is limited. Besides, I really think we should have a different design for this page if it's meant to be focused more on the Release channels
sorry, hit "sent" too soon. So, want to keep it short cause of space, but we can revisit later for version #2, to see how we can improve with a different design.
Hey Grace. Can you please clarify the purpose of this tab again? Here is what I understood: * This is a new page for the releases, with a different audience than our normal mainstream page. * You're looking to generate a following here in a similar way, through "likes". * The custom tab is the main landing tab when you're sending folks to this page, so you want a general illo and a CTA to "like". Right? The copy that you shared is sending folks to the release channels page. That doesn't sound right. The CTA for such a landing page is to "like" the page. Please let Matej and I know asap. Thanks. ~T

Right? The copy that > you shared is sending folks to the release channels page. That doesn't > sound right. The CTA for such a landing page is to "like" the page. - the CTA for the landing page it to "like" the page. since we are not able to move our current Facebook Test Drivers we need to start from scratch and grow our following for this page. - i have another bug requesting for the download tab. Bug 666796. > > Please let Matej and I know asap. Thanks. > > ~T
Ok thanks. It's just that your initial comment on this bug had a different copy direction than the "like" CTA. Matej, do you have what you need to drum up some blurbs for this?
Here are some options. Let me know your thoughts: The Future of Firefox? What's Not to Like? Love the Future? Like Us Today! You'll Love the Future. Like Us Today! Be Part of the Future. Like Us Today! Help Bring Firefox Into the Future. Like Firefox Right Into the Future. The Future Starts With a Like. The Future of Firefox Starts With a Like. Like Us Now to Love Us in the Future.
Thanks Matej. I think we definitely need the word "Like" in there. Here are the ones I like: > The Future of Firefox? What's Not to Like? How about something like "like it today" ? I prefer not to insert "not" in there... > Love the Future? Like Us Today! > You'll Love the Future. Like Us Today! Would like to insert "firefox" in there if we can. > The Future of Firefox Starts With a Like. Like this. Grace, thoughts?

Like Us Today! (agree with tara on adding firefox here. maybe be part of the future of firefox. like us today?) The Future of Firefox Starts With a Like.
I don't love "Be Part of the Future of Firefox. Like Us Today!" The two ofs make a it bit awkward to read and adding Firefox makes it the longest of the bunch. Can we go with the other one?
I'm not a fan of "The Future of Firefox? What's Not to Like?" but am OK with any of the other ones.
Works for me. Just keep in mind that the illo we have for the mainstream Page doesn't have *that* much space for copy. So we'll have to roll it in and see how it looks. Ultimately, I think we need a different graphic here... so I'm not too worried about it. But for now It's okay.
Grace, do you have what you need here? I think next step would be for us to mock up the copy on the design. Ty, can you help do that for us real quick? Sean did the previous one, so he can share that with you for reference. Then, later we can talk about updating the graphic to something more appropriate for this page.

How about: Be part of the future. Like Firefox today! Be part of our future. Like Firefox today!

works for me. Thanks Ty, and Matej. Grace, what was the design for the release channel's blog that we did? lets close this bug but work on a new landing page design for this. It should be in the dark space style that the aurora / nightly pages are in. Should be quick for Ty to whip that up. Next week perhaps.
sounds good. release channel blog? you mean this? is this the final asset we need to put in FB? if it is, we can close this bug. ill follow up with you regarding getting a channels branded landing page. thanks!
That should be all you need, but please work with William on this as he's done the other custom tabs and knows what to do. And then please follow up on the channel branded landing page as soon as you can. Closing, thanks!
