User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.4; en-ca; GTablet Build/GRJ22) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1
Steps to reproduce:
I was using the "find in page" function to search for the same text multiple times. Between searches I switched tabs. This automatically closed the funtion.
Actual results:
When I switched back to the original tab and re-opened the "find in page" funtion, the original search terms were gone.
Expected results:
The search terms should remain in the "find in page" bar and the bar should not automatically close (to match the funtionality of firefox desktop).

Essentially, you want the find bar to persist in visibility and edit field content across all open tabs. Let's see what some other folks have to say

Basically, yes. As Android tablets become more prevalent and continue to replace the netbook segment of the market, I believe it is important to try and bring mobile UI functionality more in line with Firefox desktop.
I know we have already taken major steps to make Fennec more tablet-UI friendly. I consider this anothet step down the same path.

Note that there are also long-standing requests for desktop Firefox to make the opposite change, e.g. bug 537013 and bug 628179. Each behavior is better for some users and use cases and worse for others, so we'll have to decide which takes priority.
