expected results: related links are displayed in sidebar

tested results: sidebar stays blank(grey) and timeout message eventually and 
periodically appears.

this occurs for *every* site you try what's related for?
leaf, yes.  i appear to be timing out on any sites I visit.  not sure if this is
a problem on our end or theirs but I don't think we hold the tree for this.

Are you sure this is not a networking issue?
 marking bug 57290 as dependent on this being fixed

this appears to be working now.... I changed my default search engine to 
google...might that have something to do with this?
