Summary: Move button functionality in Search dialog → Move button in Search dialog
Should there be a Copy button as well?
No. However, if search results are shown in a separate window from the search dialog itself (as they should be), then they can have access to most of the same menus as are found in a three-pane window -- letting you move, copy, reply to, forward, mark, flag, etc any of the found messages.

Using apr12 commercial trunk build on win98, mac OS 9.0, linux rh6.2 File/Move button is generally working for single or multiple search result selections with POP, IMAP and news searches. There are a few problems, particularly when move involves cross folder results, moves across accounts and particularly involving local/pop folders. Since the button functionality generally works, am marking this bug verified and will open separate bugs for specific issues.
