Steps to reproduce:

Computer locked up on a busy web page; forced reboot.

I afterwards uninstalled the Seamonkey suite and reinstalled Seamonkey browser and Seamonkey Mail/News via Ubuntu Software Center, and it seems to be OK for now.


Actual results:

Found entire mail and newsgroup section missing from Windows list. The hidden directory .mozilla was still intact luckily. Quite annoying and alarming.


Expected results:

Nothing. It should not have vanaished like that.

Uninstalling and reinstalling is unlikely to have done anything as all your data lives in your profile. If you reboot you're likely to lose data in any program not just SeaMonkey.
