User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:5.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/5.0 Build ID: 20110622105328 Steps to reproduce: installed fedora 15 and so firefox 5.0 and, installed kmod-nvidia following fedora-solved: http://fedorasolved.org/video-solutions/nvidia-yum-kmod Actual results: when I scroll a web page it falls apart, the left part goes independently of the right part and, the page appear inconsistent, i.e. some elements does not display fully It is not clear whether this is a firefox or a video driver problem Expected results: the page should display simply as a constant bitmapped image, not an image that falls apart upon scrolling
Please disable the hardware acceleration in firefox (options/advanced/general)
Component: General → Graphics
Product: Firefox → Core
QA Contact: general → thebes
To clarify, please test whether the problem still appears if you disable hardware acceleration. Note that this requires a browser restart after you change the preference.
I did disable it, restarted firefox but the problem still persists. Let me a bit more precise: a rectangle on the right slides up. And, sometimes a paragraph (not necessarily a real paragraph, I want just to emphasize the size of that) collapses.
Severity: normal → S3

Unable to reproduce in recent versions.
