On Basecamp, Stormy and Jay discussed the importance of syncing developer profiles with the upcoming Mozillians Phonebook (https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mozillians).

Jay and I met with some members of the project, but some things remain to be determined:

* What information will be synced between the services?
* Will MDN Developer Profiles collect exactly the same information the Phonebook collects, will one collect a subset of the information the other collects, or something else?
* How can we make this synchronization clear and understandable to users?

Are there any other unanswered questions that are preventing us from building synchronization at this time?

William, is this idea to integrate & combine Mozillians.org and MDN profiles still sensible in light of Firefox Accounts for the Web? Or, should we both have independent bugs to integrate our sites' profiles with FxA first?

I don't know much about this, so I'd like to learn more. The mozillians.org team hasn't thought of integration with Firefox Accounts yet. Is MDN planning to integrate with Firefox Accounts? If you have a bug or specs already, that would be helpful to see. Happy to chat and discuss more too.

In general, I think it would be helpful for our platforms to share profile information, so we don't duplicate effort for the users of those sites.

MDN users can add their Mozillian profile to their MDN profile page, and almost 1500 users have added a link. Tighter integration of remote profiles is not in our current plans.
