the option in message->mark->thread as read, does not work.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.open the browser window
2.open mail window
3.select a mail account
4.select all unread threaded messages
5.go to message->mark-> and select thread as read and press enter


Actual Results:  the unread messages in the thread window remain as they were; 
as unread itself.

Expected Results:  the unread messages in the thread window should be marked as 
read.

[e-mail] - this WORKSFORME in 2000-02-05 Win95. A given thread is 
marked as read when asked. (You only need to select one of the messages in 
that thread for this to happen.) You do realise this option only marks one 
unread thread read, and not all of them, don't you?

worksforme buimd 2001020820 on win95. I tried it with newsgroups and mail
messages. However you cannot mark as read multiple threads at once. If this is
what you are reporting, please file a new RFE (request for enhancement) in
bugzilla. Please follow up, else this bug will be marked worksforme. Thank you a

verified, this worksforme using build 2001030704 on Windows 2000.
