An administrator or editorial team should be able to officially endorse or bump articles.

Sheppy had a very interesting point about this in his user interview.

"Liking an article could improve its search results. If there are two articles that are about similar topics, with one of them 'liked' 500 times and the other 'liked' zero times, the latter could show up first in the search results."

What does everyone think about this idea?

how is this different than bug 677759?
This bug is based on early planning notes, which mentioned that an administrator should be able to manually bump articles in search results.

Bug 677759 is based on my user interview with Sheppy, where he provided a different idea. Sheppy recommended that the number of "likes" influence search results instead.

Like most of the bugs I am opening based on user interviews, bug 677759 is just an idea. Based on what Jay and the team think, we could close it ("We don't want to do this") or mark it as low priority ("We'll think about this after we implement manual bumping").
