Steps to reproduce:

Tried sidebar search using plugins, no advanced search available.


Actual results:

Result go to browser window, not to sidebar

this makes it very difficult to consecutively view different pages from the search results with out losing the search results themselves, or opening a whole slew of new tabs.

If at least there was an option to have the link from the results open in the adjacent tab replaceing the lat previous result.  Right now, we can only select either it opens in the results tab itself, or it opens another new tab for every result I try to view.


Expected results:

Result should go to sidebar, this was one of Seamonkey's greatest features.

Multi engine results should be displayed

If sidebar results cannot be achieved, then clicking on a results should optionally open in a new tab for the first result selected, and then in that same tab for subsequent results.

I am aware that these problems were caused by core-code changes which make it hard or impossible to parse the results, and may be hard to fix, however it was SOOOOO useful.

I am staying with 2.0.14 for daily use until there is a solution.

Note as the title meant to indicate by 2.1+, this appears to be broken in 2.1 and later including 2.2

Due to migration to openSearch, this part of functionality was removed. Confirming as RFE, maybe someone would want to reimplement it in future...
