Details

If I type in a partial address in the mail composition window the popup window that pops up that's supposed to have addresses in it is a little 1x1 box that is empty. Build is from 02/02/2001 about 2 am eastern time.
I see this on Windows NT 4.0, build 2001020204, marking XP.
Keywords: nsbeta1
OS: Linux → All
Hardware: PC → All
The error may be general: I see it in autocomlete too, and first time i click on an attachment in mailnews. This error message displays when there are several matches to autocomplete and the tiny empty box shows up:************************************************************ * Call to xpconnect wrapped JSObject produced this error: * [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIPopupSetBoxObject.activeChild]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://global/content/xulBindings.xml#popups.activeChild (setter) :: onset :: line 6" data: no] ************************************************************
oops: the error message is the one you see when browser URL-bar shows the empty box Build 2001020206 and a few builds back.
I also see this bug... Mac debug build from today. I'm not sure what component this belongs in but it's not specific to mail compose.
Summary: autocompletion in composer pops up empty address list → autocompletion pops up empty address list
I'm almost 100% positive it's the nav bug, I see the same 1px box in the URL bar of browser.
stephend: URL-bar also reported in bug 67435
This bug is not limitd to autocomplete popups - I'm seeing the same problem occur with the popups associated with menulists. For an example, fire up composer, and see menu Insert > Table. Click on the menulist that says "% of Window" and you'll see an empty menulist. There are several other menulists around the app that exhibit this same behavior. In all cases, the exception that RKAa posted below shows up in the console, so they must be all related. ducarroz probably shouldn't own this bug -- somebody's checkin yesterday caused this.
