User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:5.0) Gecko/20110706 Firefox/5.0 SeaMonkey/2.2 Build ID: 20110706120824 Steps to reproduce: - Connect to an IMAP server via SSL/TLS of your choice (I have checked three different accounts) - Click on a big email (e.g. ~10MB) Actual results: In almost all cases a pop-up window shows an alert: An error occurred during a connection to webmail.nsn-intra.net:993. SSL received a record with an incorrect Message Authentication Code. (Error code: ssl_error_bad_mac_read) Only in very rare cases the download works without such an error. This behaviour is reproducible on different PCs (32 bit and 64 bit CPUs) and using different OSs, i.e. Windows XP and Linux. Using other mail clients there is no problem seen. Expected results: The email should have been downloaded without an error.

Is this still an issue?

I haven't seen the error code ssl_error_bad_mac_read for quite a while. I guess this special issue is somehow fixed. Still, downloading mails with big attachments in thunderbird is sometimes quite cumbersome. I close the bug as WORKSFORME.
