The user may think that the Sync Add-on is gone and that Sync is not working, when Sync is working just fine. We will use a door hanger to communicate what happened. Alex, please add the text we should put in the door hanger. Thanks.
Repurposing this bug to track the work being done to create an Sync Add-on that uninstalls itself so that the user is left with the native Sync client on their version 4+ desktop browser.
